I saw Pete Rose give the finger to the Shea Stadium crowd when he was playing for the Phillies. I was at the game and he was destroying the Mets. 3-3 or better, making plays, stretching singles into double and so on. It was the end of the inning and he was on second. As he came off the field to a loud chorus of boos, he promptly gave the ol’ middle finger salute. It was fantastic! R.I.P. Charlie Hustle.
